Holy Ground
Beyond the forms of any creed
But honest thought and noble deed,
We join the human quest for truth and wisdom with minds unbound;
The place where people meet to seek the highest is holy ground.
Here in each other’s eyes we read
How much we share, how much we need
A time to lift our hearts in hope and friendship, a hush profound;
The place where people meet to seek the highest is holy ground.
Give hope in place of fear and greed
Till all are fed and all are freed;
We dedicate ourselves to peace and justice the world around;
The place where people meet to seek the highest is holy ground.
Our thanks and praise shall plant the seed
Of beauty in the lives we lead;
Together now we raise in speech and music a joyful sound;
The place where people meet to seek the highest is holy ground.
