Composer’s note
As beautiful as the first snow-fall can be, with its blanket of innocent covering and decorative tree branches, winter can be cruel and unforgiving… Winter Reverie is an attempt to preserve, in the mind’s eye, a first and gentler image – a playful and joyful exchange of seasons. An upward glissando is a premonition of slippery walkways to come.
