March to Glory: Draw Me Nearer was written in 2013 for the American Guild of Organists, and was premiered by Colin Lynch at Boston’s Cathedral of the Holy Cross during the 2014 AGO Convention. The work was inspired by the chorus of that wonderful old hymn by Fanny J. Crobsy and William Doane; it progresses from the first faint glimmerings of hope to a full-fledged triumphant procession.
